Fund Your Health by Reducing Anxiety by Dr. Lisa Williams

HEALTH PORTFOLIO (H-Portfolio)

Health = Wealth

H-Asset: Emotional Wealth

H-Investment: Meditation

Meditation is another very wise H-Investment that improves your overall health and wealth. Here is my H=W (Health = Wealth) formula: Building an H-Portfolio that includes the mind-body connection seems quite reasonable, and—after all—it’s free, and it works. Reducing the astronomical cost of anxiety treatments warrants this sort of H-Investment. In the United States, a staggering $42 billion in direct medical costs are spent each year on anxiety, and people with anxiety are three to five times more likely to see their doctor. Furthermore, approximately 22.84 billion dollars of these costs are associated with repeated health care services.

Meditation can be done anywhere, and the joys of the “unsaid” can calm and center the body for the day. I use several free podcasts from Hay House Meditations. Meditation plays an important role in reducing anxiety, stress, arthritis, and pain reduction as well as lowering your H-Investment risk, and even put more real money in your pocket!

According to the National Commission on Prevention Priorities, preventive services not only save lives, but also save money. Such measures could save nearly two million lives and nearly $4 billion dollars a year!

I cannot express the importance of building an H-Portfolio that includes this important H-Investment. This is just one more way to pay your health forward by adding H-Investments to your and your family’s H-Portfolio that could fund your health. It is never too early or too late to invest in your health.
