HEALTH PORTFOLIO (H-Portfolio)
Health = Wealth
H-Asset: Family Wealth
Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years, and there is a reason for that. It works! Illness occurs when there is an imbalance or interruption of one’s Qi. Acupuncture increases overall energy and vitality, and helps the body achieve balance. Regular, monthly acupuncture treatments can also help maintain good health and a sense of wellbeing. Acupuncture is used to treat conditions such as emotional problems, digestive problems, pediatric problems, respiratory problems, skin problems, sleep problems, women’s health problems, and various types of pain, among many others.
Acupuncture is another very wise H-Investment that improves your overall health and wealth. Here is my H=W (Health = Wealth) formula: In my personal experience, I discovered that conventional medicine does not work for everyone, which is why I pursued acupuncture to treat my own illness. I went to school for acupuncture not to “become” an acupuncturist, but to try to heal myself from a health condition that was depleting my life. I had been on 20 different medications at one point, and visited more than 30 specialists. My goal going into the program was to avoid surgery at all costs and to try to “take my own health back.” I didn’t even know how acupuncture worked, and, quite frankly, I didn’t care, because I didn’t know how the medications worked either. Faith can bind people to what they cannot fully understand, and I took a leap of faith and I am glad I did. Eventually, I was able to get off all of my medication and resolve all of my H-Problems. And, of course, I took a bigger leap of faith, followed my heart, and left my career to open up Gentle Touch Acupuncture. I am glad I had a choice in treatments, and that is why acupuncture is one of my favorite Must Have H-Investments.
Acupuncture results are cumulative, which means your H-Investment has a low risk and high return, and you can benefit from “compounding.” By reinvesting, you maximize your potential. H-Investments that maintain or improve your health is essential in any good H-Portfolio. According to the National Commission on Prevention Priorities, preventive services not only save lives, but also save money. Such measures could save nearly two million lives and nearly $4 billion dollars a year! Hopefully, saving your health and your money will be your new focus too.
I cannot express the importance of building an H-Portfolio that includes this important H-Investment. This is just one more way to pay your health forward by adding smart H-Investments to your and your family’s H-Portfolio. It is never too early or too late to invest in your health.
